Joined Hibs 1943 from Newton Juvenilles but fell ill shortly after his 1949 caps-a few months in Switzerland affected a ???? polio cure and his cool, crisp kicking and steady tackling will bring him more honours yet. Since his “come back” he’s never lost his place.
